Nostalgia
kicks in Point-N-Clicks
Point-and-click adventure games seem to hold a special place in Matastig's
heart. Why do I say that? He's provided us a great list of his favorites (many
I haven't even heard of!).
My
New Gaming Room!
Born4this – in a huge show of commitment to family – gave up his gaming room for
his daughter, Anberlin. Now he's in a new house with his family – and he's now
the proud owner of a swank gaming room. It's spacious, features Batman and
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle action figures mingling, and some sweet wall art. Check it out for yourself.
Remaster
Master
Sam_Lincoln follows the trend of writing about the trend that is game
remastering. His verdict? He loves them. Sam wonders why anyone wouldn't want a
remaster of a great title with a new, shiny coat of paint.

An
Interview With Wander MMO Head Loki Davison
Rebekah Lang is really excited about Wander, an MMO where there is no combat.
She's so excited that she decided to reach out to Wander MMO studio head Loki
Davison for an interview, and he kindly obliges with some wonderful insights
like how his past as a nomad inspired the game.
My
Top 20 Favorite Games: #20: Dragon's Dogma
Enuo is writing about his 20 favorite games, beginning with Dragon's Dogma. No
other game matches the balance of open-world exploration and fast-paced combat,
according to our blogger. It's one of my favorite games, so I wholeheartedly
agree.
War,

impression of the launch trailer while discussing fan theories throughout, as
well as his own.

Writing Challenge: Advantages of Overleveling in RPGs
Jon_G took our writing challenge in a unique direction, detailing how much of
an advantage it is to power-level characters in role-playing games. Jon loves
squashing foes easily, and doesn't sound like a good player to cross.

Writing Challenge: The Most Powerful I've Felt In A Game
Rebekah Lang doesn't like super heroes in films, but she loved the power she
commanded as Cole MacGrath in Infamous and Infamous 2. She really can't
conclude exactly what the intoxicating feeling was from (just the experience of
power was invigorating) but knows that no other game has made her feel that
way.

Lone
Survivor Review: An intriguing, flawed horror game
Gamemaniac3434 admits he's a bit behind with his review, but that doesn't stop
him from giving us a nice write-up on how much he enjoyed this pixelated horror
game – despite its imperfections.
Community Writing Challenge:
In honor of all of the Fallout 4 excitement, I'm asking you to write about the most dire or gloomy video game settings you've set foot in. From Fallout's wasteland to Chrono Trigger's future – and even the lifeless planets you drive Mass Effect's Mako on – the gaming world is full of dangerous and saddening settings.
