Back in the mid-90s, FMV games were destined to become the future of the industry. Consoles were technically capable of presenting actual images of people and environments, so why would any sucker go back to boring old sprites and polygons? Well, it turns out that being limited to actual footage limits gameplay to an excruciating degree. We learned this quickly when we booted up 1994's Corpse Killer for Sega Saturn.
