2014's Upcoming PlayStation 4 Games

Sure, streaming, television, and video recording are great features to have in a console platform. They aren’t what gets you to open your wallet and bring home an expensive piece of gaming hardware. We’ve heard your pleas. You want games.

That’s why we’ve put together a quick rundown of the games to look forward to. We'll continue to update this list, and if you see something missing, please let us know. Here is everything we know that's planned for the PlayStation 4 in 2014.

Skylanders: Trap Team - October 5
The fourth Skylanders game will let players trap over 40 villains and then use them in battle. 

Alien: Isolation - October 7
The last Alien game wasn’t terribly good. OK. It was downright bad. However, Creative Assembly is taking the franchise back to its roots. One, super powerful, terrifying alien will stalk you throughout the entire game.

Driveclub - October 7
After missing its original release alongside the PlayStation 4, Evolution has been working to improve the game.

NBA 2K15 - October 7
After last year's strong first outing on new consoles, NBA 2K15 is a guarantee for PS4.  

Styx: Master of Shadows - October 7
Not all assassins are handsome and cloaked in white.  

The Evil Within - October 14
Shinji Mikami’s return to survival horror is shaping up to be the scarefest we expect from the creator of Resident Evil.

Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition - October 14
If you missed out on United Front Games' open-world, Hong Kong crime thriller, now's your chance to catch up. 

The Walking Dead Season One - October 14
Telltale is bringing Lee and Clementine to new-gen systems.

Fluster Cluck - October 21
Chickens in UFOs. What more could you want to know? 

Just Dance 2015 - October 21
Ubisoft's annual dance franchise is a huge seller, and it's no wonder it'll be back. 

The Legend of Korra - October 21
Nickelodeon's hit cartoon is getting the video game treatment courtesy of Activision and Platinum Games. 

Samurai Warriors 4 - October 21
Tecmo Koei is delivering a huge helping of Musou this year. This branch of the franchise takes place in Japan.

The Walking Dead Season Two - October 21
The award-winning series continues later this year in a full, retail package. 

Lords of the Fallen - October 28
Players will take on the role of Harkin, humanity's last hope against a crushing tide of demons.

NBA Live 15 - October 28
EA is giving its basketball title another shot this year. This time, it's going head-to-head with 2K Sports.

Singstar - October 28
Sony's karaoke title makes the jump to PS4. 

Costume Quest 2 - "Halloween"
While not tagged with a specific date, Double Fine has promised to deliver the game around Halloween. Whether that means right on the day or shortly before, we don't know yet, but we're confident the studio will hit the mark.

The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth - November 4
Nicalis has retuned and added to the hit PC indie title, now coming to both PS4 and Vita. 

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare - November 4
Sledgehammer Games takes the reins for the first time in this year's Call of Duty title. The game takes place in 2054 and stars Kevin Spacey as the leader of the world's largest PMC.

Citizens of Earth - November 4
This failed Kickstarter was given a second chance by Atlus. Players will step into the shoes of the Vice President of the United States and assemble a party of normal people to fight monsters and aliens.

Rocksmith - November 4
Ubisoft's guitar tutorial game will let you rock out on PS4 soon. 

Assassin’s Creed Unity - November 11
This Assassin’s Creed title will be PC and new-gen only. After a leak forced Ubisoft’s hand, we got our first look at Assassins during the French revolution.

The Crew - November 11
Ubisoft’s open-world racer will finally be making an appearance this fall. Will the social features be the hook that the publisher hopes?

Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham - November 11
Batman and friends take on Brainiac in an all new Lego adventure. 

Dragon Age: Inquisition - November 18
BioWare's upcoming return to Thedas is one of this fall's most anticipated titles.

LittleBigPlanet 3 - November 18
LittleBigPlanet 3 is under development at Sumo Digital, who has added three new characters with their own abilities.  

Far Cry 4 - November 18
The action moves from the tropics to the Himalayas this year. 

Grand Theft Auto V - November 18
The long-awaited new-gen update to Grand Theft Auto is coming this fall.

Never Alone - November 18
A puzzle platformer based on Alaskan native stories. 

Project CARS - November 18
Slightly Mad's racing title will be going head-to-head with Ubisoft's The Crew and, possibly, Sony's Driveclub this fall.

WWE 2K15 - November 18
Wrestlng fans step into the ring on PlayStation 4 for the first time this fall. 

Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris - December 9
Lara is back in a new, four-player adventure. The sequel to Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light will be out this December.
